Hello

Hello there, and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.
As this is my first post, and as I was brought up to be a polite girl, I should introduce myself.

I'm 34, and I'm lucky enough to live in Yorkshire with my handsome husband, the lovely Mr Wint.  In the last couple of years I have been drawn increasingly to the idea of making things from scratch, or making something new from what was previously unusable.
I work full time, and so am not able to devote a vast amount of energy to crafting things, but I find there is something deeply satisfying about creating something with my hands that didn't exist before.  I've started this blog to document the various craft projects I'm undertaking, partly for my own memory, and partly to encourage myself to embark upon projects that seem a little daunting.

My experience is...well...limited would be generous.  I used a sewing machine briefly at school, but am pretty much learning from the beginning.  My fabulous family have helped with various Christmas and birthday gifts of sewing and craft books all of which fill me with so many ideas and inspiration before they get put back on shelf.
No more!  I hereby pledge to be as crafty as crafty can be.  I shall sew, paint, glue and distress to my hearts content, and post photos and instructions along the way.

If you're reading this and have a mind to attempt any projects with me, please share and post photos of your projects.
